Everybody lately has been talking about this quote:

"If you mean dying in the course of the United Nations effort, yes, it is worth that. If you mean dying American troops unilaterally going in with some false assumption that we can effect the outcome, the answer is unequivocally no," John Kerry 1994.

When it comes to the question of when it is appropriate for the United States to use force abroad, John Kerry seems to have developed one general principle: It is only acceptable to risk American life and limb if the United Nations or supposed allies like France approve.

I can't say that I can disagree with that. Kerry has a long history of making similar statements. A vote for Kerry is a disaster for American foreign policy. If Kerry is elected, America will no longer set our own foreign policy, we would be stuck bowing to the French et al.
